Election for Veterinary Council of India Declared Last Date for Filing Nominations is 19th May, 2014

The Government of India has decided to hold election to the Veterinary Council of India to elect eleven members from amongst the registered Veterinary practitioners under clause (g) of sub- section (3) of Section 3 the Indian Veterinary Council Act of 1984. The official Gazette Notification regarding this will be issued on 12^th May, 2014.  The election schedule is as under:-

(a)    Last date for making nomination                                         19.5.2014 (Monday)

5.00 P.M

(b)   Time and date for                                                                  26.5.2014 at 10A.M.

scrutiny of nominations                                                          (Monday)

at the office of the Returning

Officer.

(c)    Last date for withdrawal of                                                 28.5.2014 (Wednesday)

Candidature.                                                                           5.00 PM

     (d)   Date of poll                                                                            03.07.2014 (Thursday  )

      (Date upto which Voting Papers                                                  7.00 A.M

      shall be accepted by Returning Officer)

            Eligible candidates may file their nominations in the prescribed format along with names of their counting agent. The prescribed format for filing the nominations (Form I)would also be published in the official Gazette Notification on 12^th May, 2014 and would subsequently appear on the following day in the leading newspapers. It can also be accessed from the official website of Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries,www.dahd.nic.in from 12^th May, 2014 and also from the office of Registrar of State Veterinary Councils.
