The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following:
(i) The appointment of Shri Shankar Agarwal, IAS(UP:80), Special Secretary, Ministry of Defence, as Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development in the vacancy of Shri Arun Kumar Jain, IAS(NL:77) (Retired).
(ii) The appointment of Smt.Vijay Laxmi Joshi, IAS(GJ:80) as Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj in the vacancy of Smt. Loretta Mary Vas, IAS(UP:77) (Retired).
(iii) Placing Smt.Vijay Laxmi Joshi, IAS(GJ:80) on compulsory wait in the Department of Commerce with effect from 01.04.2014 in the rank and pay of Secretary.
(iv) The assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of DONER to Shri Naved Masood, IAS (MT:77), Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, for a period of three months with immediate effect or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
