Officers Attending APPPA Programme of IIPA Call on Vice President

The 43 officers drawn from various All India Services attending the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) conducted by Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) called on the Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari here today. Addressing on the occasion, the Vice President, who is also the President of IIPA,  said that the whole purpose of establishing IIPA was to see the service of state to the public to be improved upon. It is not that the public administration has come to a stop and we have learnt a great deal. The difference is that now we have a much more aware citizen body and their expectations have gone up.

The Chairman, IIPA Shri T. N. Chaturvedi briefed the Vice President about the aims and objectives of the programme. IIPA conducts this 10 month long term programme foe senior Director and Jopint  Secretary level Civil and Defence Services officers since 1975. It is sponsored by DoPT and is also recognized by University of Punjab for the grant of M.Phil Degree in Social Sciences.
