Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases to 104.23 per bbl on 04.4.2014

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 104.23 per barrel (bbl) on 04.04.2014. This was higher than the price of US$ 102.47 per bbl on previous trading day of 03.04.2014

In rupee terms also, the price of Indian Basket increased to Rs 6287.15 per bbl on 04.04.2014 as compared to Rs 6160.50 per bbl on 03.04.2014. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation. Rupee closed weaker at Rs 60.32 per US$ on 04.04.2014 as against Rs 60.12 per US$ on 03.04.2014.
