Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increased marginally to US$ 107.59 per bbl on 25.4.2014

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 107.59 per barrel (bbl) on 25.04.2014. This was higher than the price of US$ 107.13 per bbl on previous publishing day of 24.04.2014.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket increased marginally to Rs 6575.90 per bbl on 25.04.2014 as compared to Rs 6542.43 per bbl on 24.04.2014. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation. Rupee closed weaker at Rs 61.12 per US$ on 25.04.2014 as against Rs 61.07 per US$ on 24.04.2014.
