Speaking on the occasion Smt. Santosh Chowdhary said that the Kendriya Vidyalaya will primarily cater to the need of wards of Central Government employees and general public in the area and will expected to be functional with in next two years. Smt Santosh Chowdhary said the centre provided Rs. 32 crore 92 lakh 70 thousand for the Vidyalaya. She said general public category student would be charged tuition fee of Rs. 200 to 500 per month where as girls , SC/ST students and wards of Kendriya Vidyalaya employees and below poverty line candidates would be exempted from the same. The only single girl child would be exempted from school fee.
She said that this school will be mile stone in the development of the Hoshiarpur and today is historical moment for the region. She has appreciated the Panchyat for providing a land for the Vidyalaya. She underlined the need for expansion of education so that the country can grow further. She called upon the children to educate and strive to become good citizens. She said that Rs. 45 crore approved by Centre Government for the cancer hospital in Hoshiarpur .
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner, Northern Region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Shri M. P Mahajan said the Vidyalaya will have three stories building and three section for each class. Initially 40 students would be admitted in each section the capacity would be expanded subsequently in the future. He said that in this Vidyalaya have a Science lab, Computer lab, sports ground and other essential facilities also available.
Cultural programs performed by the student also organized. Ex- Punjab Minister Sh. Joginder Singh Mann, Ex-MLA Sh. Ram Lubhya , Representatives of Panchayat and other dignitaries are also present on the occasion .
