Chargesheet filed in spectrum allocation case during NDA regime


New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, on Friday filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court in connection with alleged irregularties in additional spectrum allocation during the NDA regime. The CBI named Bharti Airtel Limited, Vodafone India Limited and Hutchison Max & Sterling Cellular as accused in its chargesheet filed before CBI Judge O P Saini.
Further, the CBI has also named ex-DoT Secretary Shyamal Ghosh as an accused. All the accused have been booked for criminal conspiracy and under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act. CBI has pegged the loss to exchequer at 846 crore rupees on spectrum issue during the NDA regime.
