Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increased marginally to US$ 106.02 per bbl on 02.05.2014

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 106.02 per barrel (bbl) on 02.05.2014. This was higher than the price of US$ 105.84 per bbl on previous publishing day of 30.04.2014.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket decreased marginally to Rs 6385.58 per bbl on 02.05.2014 as compared to Rs 6386.39 per bbl on 30.04.2014. This was due to decrease in price in dollar terms and rupee appreciation. Rupee closed stronger at Rs 60.23 per US$ on 02.05.2014 as against Rs 60.34 per US$ on 30.04.2014.
