Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines to 102.68 per bbl on 02.4.2014

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to US$ 102.68 per barrel (bbl) on 02.04.2014. This was lower than the price of US$ 104.56 per bbl on previous trading day of 01.04.2014

In rupee terms also, the price of Indian Basket declined in tandem to Rs 6124.86 per bbl on 02.04.2014 as compared to Rs 6284.06 per bbl on 01.04.2014. This was due to decline in price in dollar terms and rupee appreciation. Rupee closed stronger at Rs 59.65 per US$ on 02.04.2014 as against Rs 60.10 per US$ on 01.04.2014.
