Muzaffarnagar violence: UP govt dismisses demand for a CBI probe

Muzaffarnagar:-In Uttar Pradesh, the state government has dismissed the demand for a CBI probe into the recent Muzaffarnagar violence. 

A senior cabinet Minister of Akhilesh Yadav Government Shivpal Singh Yadav heading the eleven member committee set up by the Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav visited the violence affected areas in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. 

The Minister said a judicial inquiry under a retired High Court Judge has already been initiated by the state government and no one responsible for the violence will be spared. 

He held a joint meeting with senior officers of Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Baghpat districts yesterday and directed them to provide security to the families returning to their villages from relief camps. He also directed for providing compensation to those who have lost their houses in the violence.
