Communal clashes: UP to provide 5 lakh rupees to each family

Uttar Pradesh government has decided to provide 5 lakh rupees to each family belonging to minority community displaced during the recent communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts. About 90 crore rupees will be spent to rehabilitate about 1800 displaced families in both the districts.
Quoting official sources, our Allahabad correspondent reports that the state government has taken this decision as a number of families are still taking shelter in different relief camps and are not ready to return to their native places. The government has taken the initiative to enable the affected families to start their livelihood at a place of their choice with this financial help.
