New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on 18/09/2012 between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Concessionaire, Messers Jaypee-DSC Ventures Limited (subsequently renamed as Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited), in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. The Concessionaire has agreed to implement a cheaper Touch Card Technology at its own cost to minimize cash transactions at toll booths within four (4) months from the date of MoU. The Touch card shall be issued to the commuters at a minimal price to be decided by NHAI/ Independent Consultant (IC) for the project, so that it is being charged only to act as a deterrent for the commuters against misusing the card issues. This was stated by Sh Sarvey Sathyanarayana, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in response to a written question in Rajya Sabha.
